A webinar and awareness programme was organised by Kripa Foundation on the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse. The foundation is working against Drug Abuse and specially Injectable Drug Abusers for the last 15 years.

For the last one year they are running IDU project for the Injectable Drug Abusers and at present 50 of such users are taking help of the foundation. Since 1989 every year 26th June is celebrated as International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

This year the theme is Better Knowledge for Better Care. As per latest report released by the United Nations of Drugs and Crime (UNODC), 35 million people are suffering from Drugs and need urgent medical care.

To start with a poster exhibition was organised at Vrindavan Crossing at Waghodia road by Kripa Foundation, HMAI Vadodara and N.H.M.C Hospital. The aim to create awareness among the people especially today’s youth. Later under Prayas project – healthy campus initiative a webinar was organised with students of Department of Social work and S.P. University.

In addition, a webinar was organized at 2 pm with the students under the Prayas Project – Healthy Campus Initiative with the Department of Social Work, SP University.
