VMSS team strikes at mango juice and watermelon sellers

The VMSS team on Thursday strikes on the stalls where mango juice, sugarcane juice and watermelons were sold openly putting in danger the lives of the people.

The two teams raid in different areas and found health hazardous products from the stalls selling juice. The team destroyed more then 150 kgs of rotten and Ethenil powder rippen mangoes, 30 ltr of liquid sugar, 120 kgs of cut watermelons and lemons at the spot. The teams also served notices to eight cola owners during the raid.

As per the details VMSS health department team divided two teams and raid on the juice stalls, watermelon sellers in areas like Sama, Nizampura, Chhani, Karelibaug, Panigate, Ajwa Road, Waghodia Road.

The team found rotten mangoes rippen with the help of Ethenil powder and watermelons.

Health department food inspector Vipul Rana said that their team raid and check in the 12 mango juice sellers, 8 watermelon sellers and Five Sugarcane juice sellers at Ajwa Road, Waghodia Road and Panigate areas.

During the check the team found 75 kgs of rotten mangoes, 40 kgs of mango juice and fifteen ltr of liquid sugar from there.The team then served notices to the four such sellers who run the business without any licence of registration.

Food inspector Vinarika said that their team checked such centers in the areas like Nizampura, Chhani village, Sama Sports Complex, Chanakyapuri and Karelibaug areas and destroyed 60kgs of mango, liquid sugar, 120 kgs of cut watermelons and lemons on the spot. The team also destroyed 25 ltr of mango juice also there at the spot.

As the summer is already setting in the such sellers opened their stalls everywhere in the city and selling hazardous juice and other things to the people. The raid by the VMSS teams on Thursday make such sellers running here and there.
