VMSS team sealed around 500 properties in last six days

Recovered Five crores in dues 150 more sealed on Tuesday

VMSS team
continues their drive to recover the taxes and sealed around 500 properties in
last six days in the city and recovered around Five crores. The drive continues
on Tuesday and the teams sealed nearly 150 more properties of people failed to
pay taxes.

The team
continue their drive to seal the properties of the people failed to pay taxes
to the VMSS. Ward offices are assigned the work to conduct checking in their
respective areas and sealed the properties. The drive is undertaken by the VMSS
after the people failed to pay their taxes after many notices.

Assistant
Municipal Commissioner Jignesh Gohil said, in last six days 500 properties are
sealed in the city and the teams recovered 5 crores in taxes. On Tuesday
morning the teams sealed nearly 150 such properties and recover taxes from
their owners.

Many of the
owners pay taxes on the spot and stop the sealing process. However the team
sealed those ones who failed to pay any taxes.
