In view of the ongoing marriage season the food safety officers of VMSS health department conduct surprise checking at the caterers in Vadodara. The officers check the food preparing area and the raw material storage by the caterers.
As per the details the food safety officers conduct a surprise check in the Alkapuri, Gorwa, New VIP Road, Makarpura and Chhani areas at various caterers. They check and collected various samples of raw materials and prepared food like Desi Ghee, Mawa, Chilli powder, Mangolian walk, Kadhai Paneer, Loose flour and send them for testing. The team also served notice of Schedule 4 to one of the caterers for unhygienic condition and another one for doing business without licence. The team also destroyed 15kgs of unhygienic food at the spot.
