VMSS health department Friday raid at Sweet and Farsan shop Vadodara

Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS) health department team on Friday raid at Gurukrupa Sweet and Farsan Mart in Channi TP 13 area and destroyed 20kgs of unhygienic raw material using to make Jalebi. The team also took the samples of Undhiyu and Jalebi and send it to laboratory for testing.

The VMSS health department team is started checking the sweet and Farsan shops in the city to check the quality of the food item in view of the Uttarayan festival falls on Saturday. On Friday the team check Gurukrupa Sweet and Farsan shop in Channi TP 13 area and found one day old raw material to make Jalebi.

The team destroyed around 20 kgs of raw material on the spot. The team also found that the owners of the sweet shop also use colours to make Jalebi. The health team took samples of Jalebi and Undhiyu from the shop and send for testing. With the directions of Mukesh Vaidya Health officer VMC the team continue their checking drive in the various parts of the city.

Two days earlier the team checked a sweet shop in Fatehgunj area and also in the factory where they found the Chikki was made in very unhygienic conditions and seized the materials from the spot.

In view of the Uttarayan festival the VMSS health department team is not taking any chances as every year this time the sale of Chikki, Undhiyu and Jalebi is on rise and the shopkeepers are sometimes playing with the health of the people.
