Destroyed litres of unhygienic food and issued schedule 4 notice to the manufacturers
VMSS health department conduct checking at the Pani puri making places and sellers in various parts of Vadodara. The teams destroyed litres of unhygienic water and materials use in making panipuri and issued schedule 4 notice to the manufacturers for not maintaining hygiene at the place.
The two food safety teams on 26th July 2018 conduct checking in various areas of city like Hujrat Paga, Hathikhana, Tulsiwadi, Sama, Chhani village, Khodiyar Nagar, Navayard, Warasiya, Sudama Nagar, Tiwari Ni Chawl in the units making panipuri. The team checked inside 50 units and destroyed around 4000kg of unhygienic puri, 3350kg of potatoes, gram, 1200ltr of oil and other stuff at the spot.
The teams give schedule 4 notice to the manufacturers for not maintaining hygiene at the place and ordered them not to prepare of sell from there.
As part of the ongoing monsoon season and disease the food health department started checking for the last 20 days in different areas at panipuri stalls and others. The teams destroyed around 1200 kg of unhygienic food at the spot after found it health hazardous.
As part of cleanliness drive and to prevent the water borne diseases the designated officer and additional health director issue directions for checking and also check at all food business centres. Directions are also issued to Panipuri operators to stop selling till the puris till the disease comes under control.
