Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS) on Friday conduct checking inside every canteens of Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) to access the quality of the food serving there to the students and the staff. The team specially checked the food items and took samples of various items for further checking in laboratory.
With the information and direction by the VMSS health officer Mukesh Vaidya the food inspector Jitendra Gohil and his team conduct checking in MSU Arts, Science, Commerce canteens. The teams also check the mess of medical college on Friday to check the quality of the food.
Jitendra Gohil said that the academic year in the educational institute is already started and the canteens inside various faculties are also operational and serve food to the students. In view of that their team checked the food quality served inside the canteens which includes Samosa, Poha and other regular items. The team also checked the items and its expiry dates used in the food items.
Gohil further added that their team also checked inside the mess of medical college and check the pulses, rice, flour, vegetables, spices using in the food items. But the team didn’t find anything suspicious from there.
However as precautionary measure the team took samples of various food items and will send for the checking at the food laboratory.
