VMSS food safety teams conduct checking in panipuri making units at slum areas and found unhygienic food items. The teams checked around 25 such units and destroyed stale potatoes, gram, puris total around 100kilos on the spot.

Food inspector Jitendra Gohil said during the onset of monsoon season their department starts checking for the contaminated food items. The teams conduct checking at 25 panipuri making units at VIP road, Kodiyarnagar, Sama, Ganeshnagar slums and found stale food items from the spot.

The teams found stale potatoes, grams, oil and puris around 100kilos and destroyed them on the spot. The teams issues strict warning to them for maintaining cleanliness at the spot. The checking will continue at the panipuri units in coming days.
