Destroyed around 12kgs of boiled potatoes and Mawa issued schedule 4 notice to the shop owner

VMSS food safety teams conduct checking at the sweet and farsan shops in the city in view of the ongoing festive season. The teams destroyed around 12kgs of boiled potatoes to be use in Samosa and Mawa. They also issued schedule 4 notice to the owner of the farsan shop.

In view of the Janmashtami festival the food safety teams conduct checking at the sweet and farsan shops in Chowkhandi and Makarpura areas of the city. During the check the team found stale potatoes in one of the shops at Chowkhandi and destroyed around 12kgs at the spot. They also issued schedule 4 notice to the owners of the shop and order to maintain hygiene.

On the instructions of health officer Dr. Mukesh Vaidya total three food safety teams conduct checking at two different areas since morning. The checking will continue for the whole day to check adulterated food and items being used by the shops.
