Siezed kilos of plastic from shops at Ajwa road area comes under Ward 9
Vadodara Municipal Corporation extensively start drive against the shopkeepers using Single use plastic. The team conduct checking at Ajwa road area comes under Ward 9 and seized plastic bags, cups, juice cups, straws under 50 microns from the shops.
The VMSS started their drive to check the shops using Single use plastic in the city and conduct checking at Ajwa road area on Tuesday by the officials of Ward 9. During the two days checking the team siezed around 50kilos of juice cups, tea cups, straws, thermocol cup and bags under 50 microns from the shops.
Ward officer further said from 11th September the campaign is running for Single use plastic in all across the country and during the checking they collected administrative charge of 29,300 from the shopkeepers. They collected the plastic items and give it to the nominated agency for recycling. The drive is also extending to the larris and plastics are seized by the teams conduct checking in their respective wards.
