VMSS brought caterpillar machine from Mumbai to demolish overhead water tank at Chhani

48 years old tank was in dilapidated state

Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan brought

caterpillar machine from Mumbai to bring down the overhead water tank in Chhani

area of the city. The 48 years old tank was in dilapidated state and the administration

decided to demolish the structure.

Locals in the area approached the administration many times

about the over four decades old structure proves dangerous for them. However

after the Ahmedabad incident finally the corporation swung into action and

started to bring down the structure.

They specially called the caterpillar machine from Mumbai to

demolish the structure step by step. Villagers also rushed to the spot to

witness the machine at work. Strict police bandobast is kept there to avoid any

untoward incident.
