Will help the lake water clean and improve the standard of health in nearby areas

Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan and Indian Oil Corporation Limited signed a MOU to clean the water of Gotri lake. The project will cost around 1.83 crores and it will help the water continues to be clean and improve the standard of health in nearby areas.As per details the VMSS and IOCL signed the MOU regarding Aeration and BIO Remediation Treatment to clean the Gotri lake in the city. The estimated cost of the project is 1,83,97,518 and IOCL will give 59,88,500 from their CSR fund.

The treatment can help to maintain cleanliness near and around the lake area and also improves the health standard of the people. After the Aeration and BIO Remediation Treatment water in the lake continues to be clean and free of foul smell, nearby areas will be odour free, help grow animals living inside water, oxygen level will increase and decrease the BOD and COD, decrease the growth of plants inside the lake.

Mayor Dr. Jigishaben Sheth said the treatment will help making the Gotri lake water clean without affecting the animals living inside. This is the pilot project and after the successful implementation will be taken to other lakes in the city.

Gujarat Microbial Technology Private Limited will be looking after the project and the company MD Bhavesh Patel gives the presentation to the officials. Mayor Dr. Jigishaben Sheth, Municipal Commissioner Ajay Bhadoo, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Sudhir Patel, Standing Committee chairman Satish Patel and others remain present during the programme.
