VMC teams cracked down on shops not following Covid guidelines

Sealed many of them and aware people to follow the guidelines strictly

Before the curfew will be enforced in the Vadodara city from 9 pm tonight, Vadodara Municipal Corporation has cracked down on shops not following the Covid guidelines. They formed different teams from Saturday morning and started checking about social distance in different areas. They also sealed shops who failed to follow the rules.

After curfew imposed in Ahmedabad due to increasing number of corona cases, the state government announced to implement night curfew in Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat. In view of that the VMC teams from each ward moves in their areas and spread awareness in people to follow social distancing and wear masks. They also checked the shops who are not maintaing the Covid guidelines and sealed them.

Regarding the strict implementation of social distancing in Vadodara city, Municipal Commissioner P. Swaroop called a meeting of the officers and instructed each ward to form teams and create awareness among the people through mic. The teams strictly checked the shops for violating the rules and sealed them for safety of people.

The checking is carried on in every area of the city and the teams appeal people to follow the guidelines as well as sealed shops and establishments for violations.
