Faculty of Management Studies Baroda organised the webinar on Management Knowledge: Useful or a waste in Covid-19 crisis by Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Mathur, Former Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University, Jaipur. The lecture started with opening remarks by MSU Baroda Vice-Chancellor Prof. Parimal Vyas where he started with extending respect to corona warriors fighting for all us he also stated that updated Management Studies is more and more important in post COVID business world.

He also inaugurated student clubs of faculty of Management Studies along with Dean OSD of Faculty of Management Studies, Prof M.N Parmar and all the dignitaries are proud to launch this clubs online.

Dean OSD of Faculty Prof. M.N Parmar believe these webinars and student clubs will make students of Faculty of Management Studies gain knowledge with practical exposure to students.

These student clubs with work towards in upscaling student skills for making them corporate ready post-COVID-19.
The academic clubs are spaces that let the members explore the functional area that they want to make a career in through a lot of activities. The aim of these clubs is to develop more functional competency by conducting a regular exercise like quiz, newspaper analysis, field trips, seminars, guest lectures and others.

The four clubs at FMS are Marketing - MarkUp, HR - Synergy, Finance – Finvestor and Operations – OpTimum.

Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Mathur Former vice-chancellor of Jagannath University, Jaipur enlightened the students and other fellow participants with his versatile experience in management. He spoke about how Bhagwat Gita and other ancient holy books can help us in this unprecedented crisis. He shed light on how the west has taken ideas from the east and how we are copying them without understanding that our forefathers gave this to us and all over the world. We have to understand our culture thoroughly and with this, we can face the upcoming challenges of the business world.

The session ended with very insightful Questions-Answer by students and other fellow participants.
