In Gujarat the police has taken the MLA and Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani and his associates into custody. Jignesh had announced to protest against the death of Dalit social activist Bhanubhai Wankar in Patan today. For this, he had asked his workers and people to cumulate to the statue of Baba Ambedkar located in Sarangpur. Even before that he could do his program, the police took him into custody. At the same time, the demonstration in Ahmedabad has become violent. People set cars on fire. Due to this, the police force had to land on the road to overcome the violence.

In this case, Jignesh alleged that the police took him into custody forcibly. Let us tell you that a Dalit social activist had set himself on fire at the Collector's Office,in the land dispute in Patan. He later died in the hospital of Gandhinagar. After this, Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani announced the closure of Ahmedabad. In the same case he was doing this program.
