For the first time Vadodara witnessing a great event called the “Victory March” on 16th December 2016 to honour the Martyrs who sacrifice their lives for the nation.

The march is organised to boost the moral of the brave Indian soldiers guarding the frontiers. Organised by the Chhatra Sansad the event is first of its kind where every participant carry a Tiranga and give the message to the soldiers that they are not alone.

The Victory march is an initiative taken by Chhatra Sansad with the support of Sujal Charitable trust to honour the armed forces and pay homage to the martyrs as ”Viranjali” to remark the occasion of Victory of 1971 lndo-Pak war. The Victory march flagged off at 17:30 hours from Navlakhi Ground.

ExServicemen, Police officers in uniform, NCC cadets, Divyang, Tibetans, North-Eastern students, students from various schools, Various religious groups, associations, councils, organizations/ NGOs and 40 bike riders walk for the heroes. Nashik Dhol is the added attraction in the rally to boost up the victorious atmosphere on the route. Ex IPS D.G. Vanzara was also present in the rally.

The bikers lead the rally followed by the Jeep with a Tiranga and then the ex serviceman holding bn the “Mashaal” lead the victory March.

The march started from Navlakhi Grounds and further move on to Kothi cross road Raopura Tower corss road Amdavadi pole Gandhinagar Gruh Veer Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk Khanderao Market Kirti stambh Rajmahal Main Gate and end up at Navlakhi Ground.

After the march there was a free musical concert ”Swaranjali” dedicated to the brave martyrs by singers Atulbhai Purohit and Bhoomi Trivedi payed tribute to lndian armed forces and create a spirit of patriotism with their melodious voice.
