Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has said
India followed the noble practice of giving shelter to people from many parts of the world who are
persecuted and is still following it.

He participated in the centenary
celebrations of the magazine “Sri Rama Krishna Vijayam” being published by
the RamaKrishna Mutt in Chennai, today.

In his address, he recalled Swamy
Vivekananda’s Chicagospeech saying, Swamiji took pride in India giving shelter
to people of different faiths of the world including the Jews and the
Zorashtrians.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu appealed to the youths of the country to strive to spread the message of Swami Vivekananda. He said, on this National Youth Day, the youth should re-dedicate themselves to the ideals of Swami Vivekananda , whom he said is the embodiment of Indian culture.
