Actor cum politician Vinod Khanna passed away on Thursday at the age of 70.

Over the last few days, he was suffering from cancer. In the past, one of his photographs was viral in which he looked quite unhappy.

According to the sources his treatment was undergoing in Mumbai Hospital and he was suffering from bladder cancer.

However, his family did not confirm this. When Vinod Khanna was in the hospital, his son Rahul Khanna had told that Dad is absolutely healthy and he will be discharged soon from the hospital.

In 1971, Vinod Khanna had worked in Solo Lead Role in the film 'Hum Tum Aur Woh'. He had also played a successful innings in politics. At present, he is a BJP MP from Gurdaspur constituency of Punjab. At one time he was a star campaigner of BJP.

Vinod Khanna has done many wonderful films like 'Mere Apne', 'Kurbani', 'Purab and Paschim', 'Reshma and Shera', 'Hath ki Shafai', 'Hera Ferry', 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar'. Vinod Khanna's name was one of those actors who initially did the role of villan but later became a hero. Vinod Khanna had worked in the solo lead role in 1971 in the film 'Hum Tum Aur Woh'.

Vinod Khanna was born on October 7, 1946 in Peshawar, Pakistan, but after partition, his family was settled in Mumbai. His father Kishan Chandra Khanna has been a businessman and Mata Kamala Khanna is a Housewife.
