16 players will be shortlisted to represent India at Deaf T20 World cup

Vadodara will have the privilege to host the selection cum practice camp for the deaf cricketers going to represent the country in T 20 world cup later in the year. Total 16 players will be shortlisted here to represent team India at the Deaf T-20 World Cup at Gurugram in Haryana.

Deaf Cricket Society of India has extended permission to DCCB for conducting the selection camp for the team of 16 cricketers who will be participating in Deaf lCC T-20 World Cup.

DCCB (Gujarat) will host the 15-day training camp in Vadodara starting from 26th Sept to 10th Oct.2018. Total 42 national players will take part in the selection camp which includes four players from Gujarat. Imran Shaikh Vadodara, Vipul Patel Ahmedabad, Ravi Tailor Bharuch and Jigar Thakkar from Surat are taking part in the camp.

Out of the 42 players 24 will be chosen and after playing three matches final 16 will be selected for to represent India in the T20 Deaf cricket World Cup in the month of November.

Organised by Deaf International Cricket Council and hosted by Deaf Cricket Society India the Deaf T20 World Cup will be organised from 21st November to 1st December at Gurugram Haryana. Total eight teams from India, UK, South Africa, Australia, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Srilanka will compete in the world cup.

As per the organisers it’s a positive thing happening towards deaf cricket and their aim is to spread the message to everyone to support such crickets who has the capability to win World cup for the country.
