Due to heavy rains in the catchment area the dam received good inflow of water. To maintain the rule level the administration opens gate no. 4,5 and 6 marginally to release 2913.48 cusecs of water into the river. At present the gates are opened up to 30 cm.

Due to the release of water into the river, Waghodia and Dabhoi administration are kept on alert. As a precautionary step total 26 villages, which includes 19 in Waghodia and seven in Dabhoi are alerted and people are requested to stay away from the river.

At 9 am 255400 cusecs of water released from Kadana dam and 331282 from Bajaj Sagar dam in Rajasthan into Mahi river. The administration is alerted to keeping a watch in Desar, Savli, Vadodara in Vadodara district and villages alongside Mahi village and Padra talukas. People are requested not to go near the river bank.
