Follow UsVadodara taluka police caught a thief tried to break the ATM of Union Bank near Samiyala village near Vadodara early in the morning. Primary investigation revealed that the accused stole all the items he brought along with him for ATM theft.
PSI of taluka police station J.D. Sarvaiya said, that Union Bank and its ATM were located near Samiyala village on Padra Road near Vadodara. At around 4 am on Friday, a man entered inside the ATM and tried to open it with a gas cutter. Was trying to break. The owner of the place where the ATM is situated immediately informed the bank official about the incident.
The bank officials reported the matter to the district police control and a PCR van of the taluka police station teacher the spot and caught the thief trying to break the ATM. The team also seized items he brought along with him for ATM theft.
Police interrogation revealed that the habitual thief was Ankit Ramanbhai Patanwadia of Segwa village in Shinor taluka. When further questioned by the police, he said that the Activa used for the theft was stolen from the Gotri area of Vadodara a month and a half ago. While the gas cylinder is stolen from car showroom on Samiyala Road.
In further police investigation, it is known that Ankit Patanwadia was earlier arrested on charges of vehicle theft at Makarpura police station in Vadodara and mobile phone theft at Navapura police station as well as Dabhoi police station.
On Friday he was arrested while tried to break into the ATM of Union Bank near Samiyala village. Police seized an oxygen cylinder, a small gas bottle, a gas cutter, a cutting grip, box tools, a shutter lock, a chain, a paddle, shutter lock keys, two mobile phones and an Activa from him.

A thief also died by a gas cutter after tried to break into the ATM near Khodiyar Nagar Char Rasta.
