Vadodara SOG conduct drug testing with newly imported kits

Targeting to crack the drug network

Vadodara police continue their drive against the addicts and conducting spot drug test with the new imported kits. The kits help the team to get the result instantly and booked the accused on the spot.

Vadodara police introduce these new kits to check the drug addicts in the city specially in view of the ongoing Navratri festival. The aim is to stop the youth become addicts and also to get deep into the network of the suppliers.

The initiative is first of its kind in India where the devices are specially use to check the drug content in the addicts and also the type of drugs he or she consumes. A 60 members team involving all departments conduct checking at various places to caught the addicts.

Continue their drive the SOG team on Friday strike near Bhimnath bridge and found gathering of six people there. Equipped with the kits the team conduct drug test on them and found two positive samples.

"We are trying to caught the drug addicts and also deep down to find the network flourishing inside the city. Our team conduct such tests everyday and take samples of the people on the spot to get the result instantly. The drive will continue in the coming days and action will be taken against the people having positive samples from the test," said H.M. Chauhan Incharge PI SOG.

Till date total seven tests are found positive by the police team and the drive will continue in coming days by them.
