Seized duplicate cash, colour printer laptop from the accused

On 23rd SOG team based on the information caught

MSU graduate Abhishek Surve and his associate Sumit Nambiar studies till 12th

from Rosary school for trying to circulate duplicate currency in the market.

They were caught from near HDFC bank at Sangam crossing with duplicate notes of

500 denomination.

Abhishek gives duplicate currency to Sumit to run it in small and medium food outlets in the market. The currency was given to Abhishek by one Kuldeep Rawal from Rajkot/Surat ten days ago at Amit Nagar circle. Further investigation is on in the matter by Incharge SOG PI H.M. Chauhan.

While further investigating in the matter the SOG

team caught five more accused involved in the duplicate currency racket. The

team arrested Ashish Surani, Sanjay Parmar, Abhishek Mangukia from Surat work

as diamond polisher, Kuldeep Rawal from Rajkot works as priest and Vishal

Surani works in Surat RTO fixing number plates.

The team recovered duplicate currency, cash,

laptop, printer and other things from their possession and house. Sanjay Parmar

watch the currency printing video on YouTube and told it to Ashish Surani. Both

print the currency on the laptop of Sanjay and gives 1.60lakhs duplicate notes

to Vishal Surani and he give it to Abhishek Mangukia and get 50,000 in exchange.

The 1.60 lakh was given to Kuldeep Rawal and he gives it to one Arjun Merh two

and half months ago. The duplicate currency of 87000 was returned by Merh to

Rawal as it's not circulated in the market and he then give it to Abhishek

Surve for 35000.
