Vadodara SOG arrested two with foreign liquor laden truck

Vadodara SOG arrested two persons with foreign liquor laden truck hide behind flour sacks from Golden cross roads on 2nd December. The beer cartons worth 26 lakhs was seized by the police which was on the way to Ahmedabad from Indore.

SOG incharge PI H.M. Vyas were on patrolling and during that time they recieved the tip from a informer about a foreign liquor laden truck no. MP 09 HF 2213 pass through Vadodara. The team after the tip kept a watch at under the Overbrige at Golden cross roads and intercepted the truck after it reached there. The truck started from Indore and was on its way to Ahmedabad via Halol toll plaza and Golden cross roads.

After intercepted the truck the SOG team searched the truck and found 1090 Beer boxes with 26160 tins of Beer inside worth 26 lakhs 16,000 rupees. The boxes were hide behind flour sacks by the accused. Police arrested Abidkhan Hamidkhan Khan and Khumsingh Munsia Bundela both from Madhya Pradesh for ferrying the consignment. The police also seized 66 flour sacks worth 6600, 15,150 cash, mobile and truck used in the crime.

The SOG registered a complaint at the Harni police station and further investigating the matter.
