    Vadodara SOG arrest one for selling foreign brand cigarette without having any warning written on them. The team seized items with 3500 from there and further investigating in the matter.

    Under the special drive from 7 to 21st December for strict implementation of COTPA 2003 all across the state, Vadodara police commissioner also issues instructions to take action against the selling of foreign cigarettes and products in public places of the city.

    Based on that SOG PSI R.G. Vasava and team are on patrolling to check such offences. Meanwhile head constable Kamaludin Habibmiyan recieved information about one Jay Kotwani running one Amar Pan shop under Harinagar bridge is illegally selling foreign brand cigarettes and other tobacco products. The team raid the shop and found him selling cigarettes without having any warning messages written on them.

    The team seized 13 packets of Asay light cigarette packets worth 2080 rupees, Golden Virginia tobacco packet worth 2380 rs and cash from him. The team booked him under COTPA 2003 act section 7 and further investigating after register the case in Gotri police station.
