DEO office will take action against the school

Amid the increase cases of Covid 19 in Vadodara, the administrators of Maharani Kanya Vidyalaya in Vadodara put themselves in controversy after they called students to school in the name of giving books. The district education office has taken action against the school in this regard.

As per available details the students were called by the administrators to pick up the books. It is clear case of violating the rules of Covid-19 as government is yet to allow the schools and educational institutes. The students reached the school to pick up the books in school dress.

Defending the school teacher Truptiben Shah said, the students have been called in phases for the distribution of the remaining English books of Std-11 and Std-12. They were called in groups of ten so as not to affect their education. The school has complied with the rules of Covid-19, including Social Distancing. Regarding the students coming in school dress, she added that the students were not forced to come in school dress and they came wearing on their own.

Shivangi Shastri, Education Inspector, District Education Office said, the students could not be called on the pretext of taking the book by the school administrators. They have asked the school administrators about the reason and action will be taken against them as per the rules of Covid-19.
