Despite the government’s order to stop offline education in view of the rising number of Corona cases across the state, a controversy erupted on Friday over the continuation of Shri Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya in the Manjalpur area of ​​Vadodara city.

As per avaliable details a controversy came to light after Shri Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya in Manjalpur area called the students of Std. 9 to 12 on Friday. They said to be continue the school after government stopped the offline education. However school administrators defended and said the students were not called to study but were called to give question papers.

In view of the increasing number of corona cases in Gujarat, including Vadodara, the state government ordered to stop offline education in all the schools. However the administration of Shri Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya continued and students of Std. 9 to 12 arrived wearing school dress. Meanwhile, parents and locals rushed to the school and questioned the administration. Later the students were send home by the school.

It may be mentioned that in view of the increasing number of corona cases in Vadodara, Dr. Vinod Rao, Officer on Special Duty had instructed to close tution and coaching classes in Vadodara with effect from Friday. At that time, the administrators of Shri Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya continue the school and put the lives of the students in danger by ignoring the instructions of the government.

It is learned that the District Education Officer’s Office has also taken serious note of the incident and has also ordered an inquiry in this regard.
