Vadodara Sayajibaug Zoo is closed for visitors

Authorities take utmost care to ensure the safety of birds

The bird enclosure of Vadodara Sayajibaug Zoo is closed for visitors till further notice. The decision is taken in view of the government decision to close bird houses in all zoo’s of the state amidst bird flu scare.

Recently the state witness bird flu scare and as a precautionary step the government issues order to close every bird sancturies and enclosures inside the zoo. The famous Sayajibaug zoo is also closed for visitors till further notice.

Giving details zoo curator Pratyush Patankar said, the decision is taken after order issued by the government amidst bird flu scare in Gujarat. The bird enclosure inside the Sayajibaug zoo also closed for the visitors in view of their health.

He further added that utmost care like cleanliness and disinfect the area is taken by the staff and make ensure the birds are safe here. As a precautionary measure they have sent around 15 samples for testing. They are taking strict measures inside the zoo to save the birds.
