It's a cold Sunday morning in Vadodara and the city celebrates the festival of sports called Vadodara Marathon. The 7th edition was flagged off by CM Vijay Rupani who termed it as the sign of collective unity and equal society.

The runners coming from all over the world gathered at the Navlakhi ground in Vadodara and took part in the Vadodara Marathon with great enthusiasm. Divyang people also turned up in great numbers for the run and their spirit inspired everyone.

CM Vijay Rupani along with other leaders, religious leaders, corporates and distinguished guests flagged off the Divyang, Swachhta and others runs and appreciate their efforts. CM Rupani said the Marathon shows the uniqueness and unity of the society.

"Vadodara started the Marathon in Gujarat and this year over 90,000 people run in this year's event which shows the collective unity and equal society. The message is to we can together face the challenges and give our contribution to the development of Gujarat. The Vadodara Marathon is a sign of unity and a step towards the cultural, heritage, literary development of Gujarat," said Rupani.
