Senior journalist Pushpendra Kulshrestha said article 35 (A) is the problem in Kashmir and the day it removes the state in truly becomes the part of India. He is in Vadodara to deliver talk on challenges to internal security of India under the banner Bhartiya Vichar Manch.

Kulshrestha is associated with media for the last 23 years and also worked in Pakistan for 12 years as a journalist. He along with two others under the banner ‘We the citizens’ files a petition in the Supreme Court for the 35 (A) and wants to spread awareness in the people about the real problem in Kashmir.

“In 1954 with the order from President of India the illegal article 35 (A) was attached to the Indian constitution which forced 10lakhs Hindus to get the citizenship of the state. Due to this they cannot work there, purchase properties, doing business and if a girl marry to a outsider her property rights are also stopped. The leaders use it like a exclusive club and don’t want to allow others to enter in their state. Laws are not implemented there and with no ACB there is no control on the money coming inside the state and it strengthen terrorism and other forces there. The day 35 (A) removes Kashmir will truly become part of India,” said Kulshrestha.

Kulshrestha is now visiting places to spread awareness in the people about the real problem in Kashmir. “90% of the people are not aware about 35 (A) and they are visiting places to aware them. We want to say that the real problem with Kashmir is different and the solution is also the other one. The article forced around 2.50lakhs dalits deprived of their citizenship rights from 1957. When 35 (A) removes from Kashmir the outside people can work there and lots of opportunities will come to the state,” said Kulshrestha.
