Vadodara police nab trio including son for stealing father’s eco car

A new twist has come in the eco car theft complaint registered at the Vadodara JP Road police station. It is revealed that the son himself had conspired to steal his father’s car. Police nabbed the trio including son and seized over Rs 2.78 lakh items including eco-car, rickshaw and mobile phones.

According to police sources, Sahil Sheikh a resident of Alif Nagar in Tandalja area had lodged a complaint that he had purchased an eco-car from his relative Yusuf Mia Sheikh for Rs one lakh, which was stolen from his house on 18th of July.

A closer look at the CCTV footage revealed that at the time of the car theft some persons were seen moving a rickshaw. During investigation the team found Sadiq Yusuf Miya Sheikh son of Yusuf Sheikh for his involvement in the theft.

The team arrested Sadiq Sheikh, Jalaluddin Sheikh and Imran Sheikh who purchased the Eco after aware about being stolen. Jalaluddin and Imran are originally from Ahmedabad and history sheeters. Police seized stolen eco car worth Rs 2 lakh, a rickshaw worth Rs 30,000 used at the time of the crime and three mobile phones worth Rs 2,78,500.
