    Conduct checking at various places along with health department teams

    Vadodara police continued their drive against drugs on Thursday and conducted checking at city schools, college, hospital, pan shops, tea spots and other places. The team along with health department teams done checking at places and took samples from suspicious places.

    Vadodara police in a collective raid caught nearly 54 youths for consuming drugs from different places. During interrogation the team received some important information from them and later on instructions of police commissioner Anupam Sinh Gahlaut starting campaign to catch the carriers and suppliers.

    The checking continued on Thursday and as a mega drive various teams were formed to check MS University, Gotri medical hospital, restaurants outside the highschools, tea spots, fast food and breakfast joints along with the health department teams of the corporation.

    The team checked the food items for mixing of any addictive item. They also collected samples of suspicious materials for lab testing.

    The teams also checked the areas near known Bright and Ambe Vidyalaya and found various pan shops inside the 100 meters area of the school periphery. While asking they said to give notice to them. However the checking proves the open violation by the pan shops of the notification not to sell tobacco products inside 100 meters areas of the school.
