Keeping the child safety on top priority, Vadodara police commissioner Anupam Sinh Gahlaut issues a notification to install cameras inside all school vehicles. The notification further states that the parents shall get the access to the live footage of their children to ensure their safety.
Most of the students in Vadodara use vans, buses and auto rickshaws to reach their schools and colleges everyday. However their security sometimes put at stake and many incidents in the past came to light where students got injured due to negligence of the school van drivers.
In view of the that police commissioner issued the notification to install cameras inside the vehicles to stop such incidents in future. As per order the vans, school buses and auto rickshaws taking students, KG kids have to install cameras inside their vehicles and give access of live feed to the parents and through web link to principals, teachers and trustees on their mobile phones and laptops. They have to put the cameras in auch a way that the parents and school authorities can get the live location of the students.
The notification will be in place from the date of its release and if any person or organisation has some questions and suggestions, they can apply in written within 30 days.
