Vadodara police caught two with cash ahead of Karjan

Police said cash was to be used to influence election process

Vadodara district police caught two persons last night during patrolling near Ropa village ahead of the Karjan . During checking the team found 57,700 cash from their possession and during primary interrogation it was revealed that the cash was to be used to influence the election process.

As per details given by the Dabhoi DySP Kalpesh Solanki, during checking ahead of the Karjan elections the patrolling team intercepted a luxurious car last night. They found Sahil Chauhan and Vignesh Patel inside and after checking recovered 57,700 cash from their possession. Primary interrogation reveled that the cash was to beused to influence the election process.

Further investigation by the police revealed one Meet Patel asked Vignesh to deliver the cash at Ropa village. Police said at present Meet is said to be member of Congress and further investigation is on in the matter. Police detained both Sahil Chauhan and Vignesh Patel under various sections along with car and cash.
