Police raided the illegal slaughterhouse running inside a illegally constructed houses in the open space of the corporation at the back of a government school in Akota village in Vadodara city.

The house belongs to of one Asif Vora and a systematic scam of selling meat after stealing and slaughtering cows has been caught by the police.

A man named Hanif has been arrested in connection with the raid on a residential area in Akota village which has been going on illegally for some time now. During the police operation today, a quantity of meat and a deep freezer were found in the house of Ashish Vora Kela Wala.

As per preliminary information the land is owned by the corporation and is a school’s reserved plot. For years slums and permanent houses being constructed on the land and it has been revealed that this illegal slaughterhouse is running from there.

It has also come out that the cows were stolen and kept in the open land near the railway line and then slaughtered. Later the meat was kept in the deep fridge and sold from there. The involvement of house owner as well as a person named Ramesh comes out during the raid.
