Arrested one and recovered 7.7 lakhs from his godown

Vadodara police busted a duplicate sanitiser scam runs under the shade of cosmetic business. The team arrested one and seized around 7.7 lakhs items from the accused.

Vadodara Sama police during patrolling received the information about one Anil Trilokchand Mittal, resident of B-6, Panchsheel Society on New Sama Road is running the scam of making duplicate sanitizers in his godown. He is into cosmetic business and sold the duplicate sanitiser filled in bottles and big plastic containers.

Based on the information the Sama police team raided the godown of Anil Mittal at Ankur Plaza and found him preparing the duplicate sanitiser. Police recovered loose quantity of sanitizers, chemicals, raw materials and packed items from the godown total of Rs 7,07,760. Along with this, Anil Mittal was selling the sanitisers with the label of Kaya Beauty Care situated at Lodra in Mansa taluka of Gandhinagar district. Police arrested Anil Mittal from the spot along with the items.

As the use of sanitizers is increased in the Corona virus epidemic, crooks like Anil Mittal are making duplicate sanitizers to make money overnight. It is to be mentioned that similar scams of making duplicate sanitizers has been exposed from various cities of Gujarat earlier also. Now Vadodara police has busted the racket of duplicate sanitisers and further investigating after arresting the accused.
