Two declared wanted

Vadodara crime branch arrested five students of Fine Arts faculty for writing derogatory remarks to disturb the peace in the city. The accused spray paint walls outside Commissioner of Vadodara Police with Swastika and Lotus symbols and also various places in the city to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 by the government. Two are still at large as police is trying to trace them.

On 16th December some unknown miscreants spray paint the walls of police commissioner office and other public places with derogatory slogans. Based on the complaint the crime branch team investigate the matter and managed to arrest five students from Fine Arts faculty involved in it. Two other are declared wanted by the police in the matter.

All are students of Fine Arts and with an intention to disturb the peace and make a impact in Vadodara about the protest of CAB all across the country. They chose different places in the city to spray paint the walls of police bhavan, Kala Ghoda, Fatehgunj Pavilion and Rosary School to write the derogatory slogans visible to the people. The aim is to disturb the peace in the city and damage public property.

Police arrested Pulkit Gandhi, Rajat Vyas, Ruchir Nayar, Aryan Sharma and Ayajin Jhonsan under various sections of IPC and damaging public property. Renil and Rishi Nayar declared as wanted by the police in the matter.

Police recovered bikes, mobiles from them and further investigating in the matter.
