Vadodara PCB caught two for black marketing of remedisivir injection

Vadodara PCB team caught two for black marketing of Remedisivir injection in the city. Both of them are selling the injection at high rate and caught in the trap laid by the police team. Both of them booked under various offences including Epidemic Act and Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

As per details, with shortage of remedisivir injection in the market and reports of high amount charged from people, the Vadodara police commissioner gives instructions to the teams for keeping a watch on the black marketing of the drug. In view of that the PCB team received a tip through a audio clip about black marketing of the remedisivir injection.

Based on that the team kept a watch in Raopura area and caught one Dhiren Nagora a Ayurvedic doctor came to deliver the injection at 7500 rupees. Similarly the team received another information and caught Rahul Valand after laid a trap in the Panigate area. During interrogation he is working as a male nurse.

The team conduct there covid tests as per protocol and arrest both after their tests comes out as negative. Both of them booked under various sections of IPC along with Epidemic Act and Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

The team is further investigating to know the source, involvement of others and quantity of injections sold by both the accused. If needed police also seek remand of both from the court.
