Arrest two rescued woman from Mumbai
Vadodara PCB team busted a prostitution racket running inside a hotel in Sayajiganj area of the city and arrest the hotel manager and a agent from there.
The PCB team received definite information about the prostitution business running at the Mamata Hotel behind the Vadodara railway station. The accused charged a sum of Rs 2,000 from the customers. So the police sent a dummy customer and asked him to signal by throwing a piece of paper from the window. After the signal the team raided inside the hotel.
During the raid, a Mumbai woman was found in an awkward condition with a dummy customer. In the police interrogation, she confessed that agent Sumit Krishnachandra Mishra (resides at Mamta Hotel, Sayajiganj, Vadodara / originally from Uttar Pradesh) as well as hotel manager Jiju K Philipbhai (resides at Rajaram Society, Shivaji Chowk, MunjMahuda) were involved in prostitution and brought her to Vadodara. As a result, agent Sumit and hotel owner Jiju K Philipbhai, who were present at the hotel reception, were detained by the police.
Police recovered two mobile phones worth Rs 25,000, Rs 2,000 in cash and a packet of condoms from the woman. Sayajiganj police had registered a case under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act against both the accused.
