Vadodara Municipal Corporation achieved first rank in "Best Water Management" category

According to the press release by Vadodara Municipal Corporation, Vadodara Municipal Corporation has received the first rank in the category of "Best Water Management" and the Water Digest Water Award of that category has been awarded by M / S Advance Water Digest Pvt. Ltd.

The uniqueness of this award is the Water Digest Water Awards was established in the year 2006 to honor the special work done by ULBS / Companies / NGOs / Individuals for water treatment / recycling and conservation.

The award is given by a judging panel of members of reputed organizations like UNESCO, TERI, WASH Institute, NEERI and Shri Ram Institute. Watched by millions of Indians it is aired on prestigious channels like ET NOW, NDTV and CNBC.

This Award is supported by UNESCO, Ministry of Jalshakti, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Atal Mission for Rejuvenation & Urban Transformation (AMRUT). Organizations like Delhi Jal Board, MSF International are associated with this award.

The Water Supply Department of Vadodara Municipal Corporation is monitoring the entire water network ensuring water supply from water sources to water distribution centers from the City Commad & Control Center (CCC) set up in the center of Vadodara city.

As a result, details of water quantity received from major water pipes at various water distribution stations of the city, Alerts related to Leakages in Main Water Drains, Alarm Water Quality Testing, Water Level Analysis and All Systems Related to “Equal Water Distribution” From All Water Distribution Station under SCADA PHASE # 1. Based on that the WDWA (Water Digest Water Award) for the year 2019-2020 has been awarded to the corporation.
