    Gotri Covid hopsital succeeds in healing Vinod Rathod and Mahesh Rathwa, Staff Nurse Mahima also get life from dedicated treatment

    With the instructions of the State Health Department and dedicated efforts of Dr. Vinod Rao (Officer on Special Duty and Education Secretary), Gotri GMERS developed into a special 250 beds Covid hospital and treat Corona patients following the guidelines and protocols of ICMR and the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

    The hospital has sucessfully save the lives of 49 year old police constables Mahesh Rathwa and Vinod Bharwad and 28 year staff nurse Mahima by proper use of expensive tocilizumab injections for treatment.  Mahesh and Vinod were struggling to breathe at one point and needed to be kept on ventilator.  Today they are healthy and can breathe in the open air. The condition of both of them was serious and worrying but the Gotri Hospital family is happy to cure them with dedicated treatment.

    Informing about the success story Gotri Covid Hospital Administrative Nodal Officer and Senior Surgeon Dr. Sheetal Mistry said, “We are happy that we were able to successfully use expensive drugs like Tosilizumeb, Remdesivir for ICMR trials for the treatment of covid with the consent of the patient. These drugs are provided free of cost at the expense of the state government and so as the expensive reports. Good results are being obtained from the treatment done following the guideline of ICMR which is exemplified in the cases of Mahesh and Vinodbhai.”

    There is an ICU of 50 beds and another 70 beds (120) equipped with oxygen point.  There is a facility of variety of oxygen supplements, bipap and invasive ventilators. For Corona patients there is a separate dialysis unit at the hospital. The hostel has arrangements to keep asymptomatic positive patients and suspicious patients. Dedicated staff of doctors, nurses and servants are giving their services round the clock in such challenging times.
     
    Expressing his happiness Mahesh Rathwa said, the doctors, nurses and staff here treated him very well and there was no need to be afraid of Corona. Today he get healed by the hard work of these people. Vinod Bharwad had difficulty breathing and had to be kept on a bipap ventilator. He is now recovering with the help of Tocilizumeb and feeling fit now. He thanked Dr.  Shubhangini, Dr. Sheetal, doctors, nursed and staff for their efforts.

    Staff nurse Mahima Christie thank God and said, now she would not hesitate to return to the Corona ward as everyone has taken care of me like my parents.
     
    Corona is a challenge and Government health institutions like Gotri Covid Hospital are providing health services with the backing of the state government and protecting the lives of Corona patients by making proper utilization of equipment following the guidelines and protocols.
