Vadodara Health department raids on food and beverage business for strict adherence to Covid-19 guideline

More than 150 samples were seized and sent to the laboratory for testing

Corona cases are on the rise in Vadodara for quite some time and administration is taking strict measures to control the situation. On Monday health team from the Vadodara Municipal Corporation conduct checking at hotels, restaurants, ice cream parlour and snack laaris in order to ensure strict adherence to the Covid-19 guideline. The team collect samples and send for laboratory testing.

The Health Branch of Vadodara Municipal Corporation conducted random checking of hotels, restaurants, sweet shops and tea snack lorries in the city to check the adherence of Covid 19 guidelines and took food samples under the Eat Right Challenge program.

During the operation, a total of 180 samples were taken from 42 spots for lab testing. While 5 traders were issued notices regarding hygiene and one trader was issued notices regarding registration. Besides, 29 samples were also taken from ice cream parlors as the beginning of summer season.
