Vadodara Gorwa police arrest a female servant for jewellery theft inside Gotri hospital ICU ward

Vadodara Gorwa police arrested a servant in connection with jewellery theft of under treatment covid patients inside the ICU of Gotri general hospital. Police recovered gold and silver jewellery worth 40,200 from the accused and further investigating in the matter.

Several incidents of theft came to light from the covid hospitals in Vadodara, where the victims complained to police about missing jewellery and other valuable belongings while they were under treatment. A similar complaint was registered in Gorwa police station and based on that the team with check the  cctv footage of Gotri hospital and identify a unknown female. The team questioned the contract servants and came to know about the identified woman and brought her to the police station with the help from Mahila police.

During interrogation she accepted to steal items from the ICU ward of Gotri general hospital and identified herself as Amruta Harijan a resident of Akashganga society near Chhani Jakat Naka. Police recovered gold and silver jewellery from her possession and further investigation is on in the matter.
