Gives memorandum to collector
An application was submitted to the District Collector by the Vadodara Fruit Market Association with a demand to stop traders coming from outside to sell fruits early morning at Khanderao Market.
Fruit traders have gone to Sayajipura market to avoid traffic problems and spreading of coronavirus. However the traders from outsiders comes and done business there which irked the fruit association and they demand to stop it immediately.
Sonubhai, leader of the Vadodara Fruit Market Association said, there had been a traffic problem at Khanderao Market for a long time and the traders come to Sayajipura. But, due to political backing the sellers from outside comes to Khanderao Market and keep selling fruits outside the market. It is also affecting their business, Corona transition is increasing through outside traders and also increased the traffic problems. A trader has recently died and they demand immediate closure of traders bringing fruits in vehicles from outside.
Trader Deepak Ahuja said the Khanderao market had been closed for three months due to corona virus and now it was started with strict guidelines to follow.
They demand about no parking inside the market and outside traders should not be allowed to do fruit business. Social distance is not maintained early morning at Khanderao Market and one of our traders has also died due to Coronavirus.
