Vadodara fire bridge conducted a mock drill at Central bus terminal on Friday to spread awareness about taking precautions during fire incidents.
As per details given by fire officer Om Jadeja, the team displayed real time situations of fire at the mock drill and the ways to control it. To start with the fire team showed the ways to control the fire in LPG and CNG vehicles parked at the basement of the the bus stop.
In the food court on the third floor of the bus stop, if a person in need of medical treatment is lifted by a stretcher and arrangements are made to transport him to the nearest hospital by private vehicle if an ambulance is not required.
If persons are trapped due to fire on the fifth floor of the bus stop, rehearsals were conducted on how to carry out the rescue operation using a 30 meter high sky lift with the help of Vadodara Fire Brigade.
The CBSC’s own Emergency Response Team checked about their work and how well the existing fire safety equipment was working.
Om Jadeja informed that this is a perfect example of checking out their fire safety features as all the premises are slowly opening up after the lockdown of Corona Pandemic.
