Late last night, Fategunj police nabbed two youths with 39 lakhs in cash kept inside the two wheeler. Police launched an investigation in the direction about where the cash was brought from and being taken to.

As Vadodara District Panchayat, Taluka Panchayat and Municipal elections will be held on Sunday, police has intensify its checking to keep a tab on the illegal activities during this time. During the night patrolling stopped Fategunj police stopped a two wheeler and during the check found 39 lakh cash kept inside the two wheeler.

While questioning they are unable to give a satisfactory answer about the Rs 39 lakh cash, police took them to the police station and started interrogation. Police have registered the case and further investigating in the case.

According to the information received from Fategunj police station, Anklesh Jayantibhai Patel (Rahe 199, Maruti Dham Society Bajwa) and Aryan Dharmendrabhai Patel (Rahe, B-141, Yoginagar Township, near Ramakaka Dairy) were among the two youths arrested with the cash.

There might be a possibility that the cash seized late at night is being taken for the district panchayat, taluka panchayat and municipal elections. The possibility of a police investigation revealing shocking details cannot be ruled out.
