    Focus would be on identifying *HIGH RISK PERSONS*

    To fight the Corona virus effectively the district administration declared the 3/3 strategy extended up to three stages. From 11th May the city is entering into second phase of planning which will be till 31st of May. The administration is expecting the number of Cases to increase and new areas to be affected once the lockdown is lifted or relaxed.

    OSD Dr. Vinod Rao informed, More than a month back, we had declared our 3 Phase * 3 Tier Strategy for COVID Care and Treatment. For the First Phase we had declared preparedness for about 2000 Beds. During this Phase, through strategic Zoning, Screening and Testing we contained transmission mostly to select clusters. We did about 6,500 tests out of which 551 came Positive with a high Positivity Rate of about 8.6%.

    He further added that, We covered about 1.5 lakh persons with HCQ tablets and most of the City with Homeopathy and Ayurvedic Medicines. We notified all Registered Medical Practitioners as Designated COVID Consultants and started orienting them.  We formed COVID Army of Teachers and Volunteers and trained them.

    Now from 11th May the city is entering into second phase of planning, where the focus would be on identifying *HIGH RISK PERSONS*.  Along with IMA we plan to identify 5 lakh High Risk Persons of Vadodara City and advice them Home Isolation and possibly Room Isolation from 1st June to 31st July.

    Dr. Rao request all stakeholders like Press, Media and various Organizations to proactively support them in overcoming this Pandemic by creating public awareness. Apart from Home Based COVID Care, the administration have also created 12,000 Beds Capacity as part of their 3 Phase * 3 Tier preparation for COVID Care and Treatment.
