Western Railway is marching ahead with many new ideas and technical innovations with the prime thrust to give passengers better services and to make railway journeys comfortable and enjoyable.
Maintaining this user friendly tradition and in view of providing more convenience to the commuters and to reduce the queues at booking windows, Vadodara Division of Western Railway has now deployed 08 CoTVMs at 3 major stations-Vadodara-4, Bharuch-2 & Anand-2.
About 200-250 passengers buy tickets at Vadodara Station through CoTVM every day. In a bid to achieve the target of going cashless, Vadodara Division of Western Railways has started installing the Point of Sale (PoS) machines at the PRS centers.
Divsion has provided 19 POS at counters of PRS centers- Vadodara, Pratapnagar, city booking office Nadiad, Bharuch, Anand, Ankleshwar, Godhra & Kosamba It helps people to purchase seasonal and monthly tickets by using debit or credit cards.
Harnessing technology for improving ticket dispensation the division have proliferated UTS to 49 stations. Similarly the division provided Computerised reservation facility at 10 locations and 6 Jan Sadharan Ticket booking sevaks has been provided.
