Vadodara district local crime branch caught a huge quantity of foreign liquor being transported from Maharashtra to Ahmedabad in a ten-wheeler trailer. On a tip off the police caught the truck near Karjan toll plaza and found the liquor hidden inside boxes worth 14 lakhs. The team also arrest one in this matter.
As per available details the local crime branch team received information about a trailer loaded with foreign liquor was going from Maharashtra to Ahmedabad via Surat, Bharuch and Vadodara. Based on that the team kept a watch near the the Karjan toll plaza and waiting for the truck.
Meanwhile, the mentioned truck arrived and the police team stopped it and searched. Police seized foreign liquor worth 14 lakhs hidden inside the truck and arrested one Ramniwas Kesararam Budia (Bisnoi), a resident of Rajasthan.
Police interrogate him about the liquor and he said that the huge quantity of IMFL was filled at Maharashtra by Vinod Bishnoi, a native of Jodhpur and Ashok Punaram Bishnoi, a native of Sagadwa village in Rajasthan and was to deliver to a person named Jagdish at Ahmedabad.
The district local crime branch had lodged a complaint at the Karjan police station and further investigating in the case. On the other hand, the District Local Crime Branch has declared both the person who sent foreign liquor and the one named Jagdish who is about to receive it in Ahmedabad.
