Vadodara District Collector visits Samiyala and Bil Primary Health Centers in Vadodara and Mujpur in Padra Taluka

Request everyone to take precautions like wearing a mask, following social distance even after vaccination

Vadodara District Collector Shalini Agarwal visited the primary health center at Mujpur in Padra taluka and later the health centers at Samiyala and Bill villages in Vadodara taluka.

She interacted with the elders who came to get the corona vaccine and encouraged them by saying that she have taken two doses of the vaccine and nothing has happened to her.

She said there was no relief from wearing a mask after being vaccinated. After vaccination people must take precautions such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distance and using a sanitizer. The collector got detailed information about the third phase vaccination process taking place in Padra and Vadodara talukas.

District Collector Shalini Agarwal said that vaccination is being carried out in the villages of Vadodara district as per the instructions of the government. In which first the health worker, then the frontline worker and now in the third phase the process of vaccination of the elders aged 60 years and above and the co-morbid people aged 45 to 60 years is going on.

In the first and second phases, 22,000 people have been vaccinated and the process of giving them a second dose is underway. In the third phase, 41998 elders and co-morbid people have been vaccinated.

Appealing to the people to get vaccinated, the Collector said that she too has taken two doses of vaccination. While people in the villages of the district are enthusiastically participating in vaccination, the Collector has made a special request to strictly follow the guideline of Covid-19, to wear a mask and to observe social distance even after vaccination.

She added that vaccinations are being given at 87 centers in the entire district including 83 government and 4 private hospital vaccination centers. An estimated 1,32,000 people are eligible to be vaccinated in the third phase in the entire district and all these people will be covered in the vaccination drive.
